Welcome to M E L A F I N D S - a shop space where my aim is to share with you treasured pieces gathered and curated over time.

‘Things that catch my eye’ or I feel inspired to create along the way. Sometimes through the joy of collaboration.

Some treasures (old and new) will be from places I have travelled, lived, made deep connections to and fallen in love with. Other pieces will be from general scouting about here in Norfolk and possibly over the border into Suffolk if it’s a particularly special find!

All in all, I hope to delight and tempt you into my world of curated eclectic offerings - homewares, design, art and lifestyle that binds C A M P M E L A together…

In October, after the last harvest of the year, the local Kullvi women set to work at their looms. In Himachal Pradesh weaving is a central part of traditional everyday life and culture, with handlooms producing the finest woollen cloth. Being pure, light and beautifully warm with borders of intricately woven geometric designs, which depict highly stylised forms of flowers and symbols.

These shawls are a small batch commissioned to directly support Durga and her family. She weaves independently from her village home, high in the Indian Himalaya.
